İSİB (HVAC-R Industry Exporters' Association) participated with an info stand in Valve World 2016 Expo held between 28 November – 1 December 2016 in Düsseldorf / Germany. Being the most important trade fair for industrial valve/pump product groups in Germany, Valve World Expo was held in 3 halls with participation of 721 firms in total. The fair was attended by a total of 16 Turkish firms. During the fair, all participating Turkish firms were visited in company with Turkish Commercial Attache to Düsseldorf Mustafa Hilmi AŞKIN.

İSİB was represented at the fair by the Chairman S. Zeki POYRAZ and Director Zeki ÖZEN and İSİB Section staff Ümit ÇINAR and Şeref CANLI.

İSİB participated in the Iran Installation & HVAC Fair organized in Teheran (Iran between 18-21 October 2016 with info stand. The Installation&HVAC Fair, which is the only fair of Iran in Teheran in climatization, was organized in 13 halls with the participation of 547 firms. All participating Turkish firms were visited during the fair in the company of Teheran Commercial Head Consultant Mehmet Ali ERKAN

Members of the Management Board Levent AYDIN and Erdem ERTUNA and İSİB Branch Chief Şeref CANLI participated in the fair as respresentatives of İSİB.

İSİB participated in the Turkey Design Week activities organized in LütfiKırdarCongressCenter between 19-23 October 2016.

In the “3rd  Climatization Industry Product and Engineering Design Competition”, for which the award ceremony was held in April 2016, “Development of Newborn Incubator with Laminar Flow Unit” project won the first place, “New Generation Cooler in Telescopic Structure with Practical Installation and Operation” project came second and “Destructive Interference Aero acoustic High Frequency Filter” project was placed the third.

The award-winning projects were exhibited in the activity; project owners gave information to the visitors about the projects.

National participation organization to Chillventa Fair was made successfully with the participation of 16 Firms; this fair, which is one of the most important fairs of the sector for cooling group and ventilation products, has been held in Nürnberg/Germany between 11-13 October 2016

In addition to the National participation organization, 40 firms participated the fair individually; Turkey was one of the countries represented by most number of firms.

All of our participating firms’ stands of were visited by Nürnberg Consul Gürol BAŞ, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Association S. Zeki POYRAZ, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Association A. Metin DURUK and Member of the Board of Directors Levent AYDIN.

Also, our Association organized a sector promotion film and visuals on the giant screen at 2 points at the fair area for increasing the interest on our firms and establishing awareness on Turkey.

During the fair, Chairman of the Board of Directors of İSİB S. Zeki POYRAZ and İSİB personnel held discussions with Chillventa fair representatives, China Refrigeration fair representatives and many other important organizations and associations.

Turkey will participate as the partner country in ISH 2017, the world’s leading fair for innovative bathroom design, energy efficient heating and air-conditioning technology and renewable energies. The Press Launching Conference on this subject was held on 19 October 2016 inIstanbul. Developments and innovations in bathroom equipment, building, energy, air-conditioning and renewable energy technologies were explained at ISH 2017 - Partner Country Turkey press conference held on 19.10.2016, which was hosted by Messe Frankfurt Istanbul and HVAC-R Industry Exporters' Association of Turkey (İSİB). The Economy Ministry Deputy Undersecretary Mr. V. Tarık SÖNMEZ, Messe Frankfurt CEO Mr. Wolfgang Marzin, İSİB Chairman Mr. Zeki Poyraz, DEİK and DOSİDER Chairman Mr. Ömer Cihad VARDAN, and Presidents of the Federation of German Heating Industry (BDH), Association of Air Conditioning and Ventilation in Buildings (FGK), Association of The German Sanitation Industry (VDS) and The German Sanitation, Heating and Air Conditioning Association (ZVSHK) attended the conference as speakers.

The Economy Ministry Deputy Undersecretary Mr. V. Tarık SÖNMEZ said that İSİB had been carrying out important activities for the promotion of the sector since its establishment, and that they, as the Economy Ministry, supported Turkey’s being the partner country at the fair. İSİB Chairman Mr. Zeki Poyraz said that Turkish HVAC-R sector was confidently selling its products to 185 countries at present, that they offered quality products at advantageous prices worldwide, that İSİB organized worldwide trade missions, national participation organizations and procurement committees, and that every year saw increased participation from Turkey in ISH Frankfurt, the most important fair of the sector in the Europe, with the number of participants expected to increase from 104 in the year 2016 to 120 at the forthcoming fair with the additional influence of the partner country concept.

DEİK Chairman Mr. Ömer Cihad VARDAN drew attention to the importance of our country being the partner country, emphasizing that the aim in such fairs was not only to market products, but also to see new technologies, and that it was important to establish cooperation with the firms using them as well.

Mr. Wessmann, President of Association of The German Sanitation Industry (VDS), said that ISH organized fairs for heating in the northern countries and for water use in the southern countries, and responded to a question about organization of an ISH fair in Turkey as: “Why not ?”

The General Assembly and Autumn Conference of EIC (European International Contractors) were held in Brussels on 6-7 October 2016. İSİB and Istanbul Ferrous and Non-Ferrous Metals Exporters' Association attended, as the bronze sponsor, the gala dinner held on 6 October 2016 and EIC General Assembly and conference held on 7 October 2016 at Radisson Blue Royal Hotel, and a joint activity was carried out for Turkish Building Products.

İSİB (HVAC-R Industry Exporters' Association) was the platinum sponsor of the Super CRC Conference realized by ASHRAE RAL and ASHRAE 13th Chapter between 30 September – 02 October 2016 in Bangkok/Thailand.

Under the sponsorship, İSİB Chairman Mr. S. Zeki POYRAZ delivered a speech about Turkish HVAC-R sector and İSİB at the Conference attended by around 350 ASHRAE-member engineers, students and project consultants from ASHRAE America, ASHRAE RAL and 13th Chapter region.

At the promotional table allocated to İSİB, materials introducing our country and the sector were distributed, and contacts were made with many persons.

Besides, a dinner was organized by İSİB in honor of ASHRAE Board Members on 3 October 2016. Giving a speech at the dinner, Mr. S. Zeki POYRAZ said that ASHRAE was carrying out all-important activities and operations for the HVAC-R sector, and that İSİB’s involvement in such organization was very important for Turkish HVAC-R sector. After the dinner, ASHRAE Board Members expressed their thanks to Mr. S. Zeki POYRAZ for the supports given by İSİB to ASHRAE.

İSİB realized the organization for national participation with 7 firms in Refrigeration & HVAC Exhibition held in Jakarta / Indonesia between 28 – 30 September 2016.

Turkish Pavilion housed the stands of İSİB and of the firms named AFS, Alfansan, Frigoblock, MakroTeknik, Martek, Refkar and Üntes during the 3-day exhibition.

In addition, meetings were held with APITU – Indonesian Association of Practitioners in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, GBCI – Green Building Council, ARPI – Cold Chain Association of Indonesia, PIPI – Indonesian Professional Engineeer Association, which are the active associations of Indonesia’s refrigeration and climate control sector, discussing the possibilities of bilateral cooperation and a permanent sectoral trade between Indonesia and Turkey. Furthermore, a meeting was held with KRAIA – Korea Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Industry Association during the exhibition. The meetings were attended by İSİB Directors Mr. Levent AYDIN and Mr. Murad Bakanay, and İSİB Branch Chief Mr. Ümit ÇINAR, and by the Presidents of the associations concerned.

 

ORGANIZING A SECTORAL DELEGATION VISIT TO BEIRUT / LEBANON, İSİB REALIZES A BUSY PROGRAM INVOLVING ASHRAE CONFERENCE SPONSORSHIP, MEETINGS AND PLANT VISITS CONCURRENTLY …

“HVAC-R Sectoral Trade Mission Program” was realized in Beirut / Lebanon between 20 – 24 September 2016.

İSİB Chairman Mr. S. Zeki POYRAZ, İSİB Vice Chairmen Mr. A. Metin DURUK and Mr. Mehmet H. ŞANAL, representatives of 9 firms operating in HVAC-R sector, a representative of the Ministry of Economy, and İSİB staff participated in the said Sectoral Trade Mission Program.

Under the Sectoral Trade Mission Program, a meeting was held on 21 September 2016 at the premises of Dar Al Handasah, which is one of the world’s biggest contracting companies employing a total of 13,000 engineers worldwide. It was followed by the meetings with the officials of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce of Lebanon, and with Mr. Wajih BIZRI, President of International Chamber of Commerce Lebanon – Lebanese-Turkish Business Council. A dinner on the same day was attended by Turkish Ambassador to Beirut Mr. Çağatay ERCİYES, Commercial Counsellors Mr. Bekir Utku ATAHAN and Ms. Emine LEKESİZ, Mr. Wajih BIZRI, and the delegation members.

HVAC-R Industry Exporters' Association (İSİB) continues with its activities geared towards increasing the exports of the sector. Under the program covering the Special Purchasing Committee consisting of 5 persons from Uzbekistan, the Committee was enabled to meet with the firms concerned in Istanbul and İzmir, and to realize factory visits.

The Committee paid a visit to a firm in Hadımköy on 30.05.2016, and obtained information on cold storage warehouses. Then, a firm in Tuzla was visited and information was obtained on fresh fruit/vegetable processing machines, followed by a tour of the production facility.

On 31.05.2016, a center based in İzmir, incorporating cold storage warehouses was visited on site, and the Committee members were informed by the officers concerned. Another visit was concerned with the production, drying and storage of fresh fruits and vegetables, enabling the participants to obtain information on pickle production and to tour through the production facility concerned.
